Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a minimum number of services?
I do have a minimum of 5 full makeup applications per wedding. For holiday weekends or for weddings outside of the suburbs, I require a minimum of 7!
Do you travel and/or have a travel fee?
I do travel! I am based in Chaska, MN and will travel up to an hour. There is a travel fee that is charged round trip of $0.75/mile. I include 30 miles so total mileage is calculated round trip less 30 miles. For weddings that require paid parking, I also ask the bride to cover that cost on the day of.
What is a bridal preview and when should I book it?
Bridal Previews are a time for us to meet, go through your wedding day details, goals for the morning and complete a preview of your wedding look. Previews are usually 1-2 months prior to the wedding. I do these at my home during the week at 4pm-some Friday lunch appointments available. I frequently get asked for weekends however,
they are typically busy weddings or shoots and I reserve Sundays for family time.
I have a large wedding party. Are you able to cover all applications or can you bring another artist?
I am pretty speedy without compromising quality and I do typically work alone; however, there are cases where I may need to bring another artist. I love to partner with my brides to consult on their wedding morning timeline to understand who is getting makeup services and when they need to be ready. If the wedding party size calls for it and the getting-ready time is short, there may be a need to bring another artist and additional fees may apply.
I am ready to book, but what if I don't have all the final details yet? (IE Final headcount/timing/location)
That is totally fine! Typically when booking so far out details are not always final and sometimes bridesmaids haven’t even been asked yet. I totally understand! In this case, you only need to sign the contract with your minimum services which includes you. You can fill in names and add additional faces as we get closer to when your second half of the payment is due.
